About this QR code

A phone QR code opens the phone's dialer with your number already entered — it dials, it doesn't save a contact. That distinction matters: use this when you want someone to call right now, and a vCard QR code when you want your details saved for later.

How to create it

  1. 1Enter a country code only if your number doesn't already include one.
  2. 2Enter the phone number.
  3. 3Download the code for a sticker, sign, or printed material.

Tips

  • If your number already starts with a country code (a leading +), leave the country code field empty — the generator won't add it twice.
  • Works well on delivery pickup points, service vehicles, and "call before you visit" signs — see our click-to-call QR code guide for more use cases.
  • The code always dials the same number; if it changes, you'll need to generate and reprint a new one.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from an SMS QR code?

A phone QR code opens the dialer to call. An SMS QR code opens a pre-filled text message instead.

Can I update the number later?

No — the number is baked into the pattern. A new number means generating and printing a new code.
