About this QR code
A website QR code stores a full URL inside the pattern itself. Scanning it opens that page directly in the phone's browser — no app, no typing. It's the most general-purpose QR type: point it at a menu, a landing page, a social profile, or any page you want people to reach without typing an address.

No — if you leave it out, the generator adds it automatically so the code still works.

Yes, but it adds a dependency on that shortening service staying online — if the short link ever expires, the QR code stops working even though nothing about the code itself changed.
