About this QR code

A vCard QR code stores your contact details — name, phone, email, and optionally company, job title, website, and address — in the standard digital business card format every phone understands. Scanning it opens the phone's "add contact" screen already filled in, rather than opening a webpage first.

How to create it

  1. 1Enter your full name — the only required field.
  2. 2Add phone and email for a functional card.
  3. 3Optionally add company, job title, website, or address — each extra field makes the pattern denser.
  4. 4Download the code sized for a business card, sticker, or email signature.

Tips

  • Include only what people actually need to reach you — the more fields, the harder the code is to scan at small sizes. See our vCard business card guide for more.
  • Test-scan and confirm it saves correctly on both iPhone and Android before ordering a print run.
  • Because the data is permanent once printed, avoid including details you expect to change soon.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a website QR code?

A vCard QR code opens the phone's "add contact" screen directly. A website QR code would require building and hosting a contact page first.

Can I add a profile photo?

Not currently — the generator supports the standard vCard text fields (name, phone, email, company, job title, website, address).

What size should the code be on a business card?

At least 2×2 cm with a clear white margin, based on typical scanning distance.
