A QR code lets people reach your link, information, or Wi-Fi with a single scan. This guide walks you from zero to a downloaded, ready-to-use code.

A QR code ready to scan on a cafe table

Step 1: Pick a QR type

Open the QR generator and choose what the code should do. The most common type is Website (opens a link), followed by Wi-Fi (joins a network automatically), Text, and Business card.

Step 2: Enter your details

Type or paste your information — for example a website link. The generator adds https:// automatically and shows a live preview instantly.

Everything is processed inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, so even a Wi-Fi password stays private.

Step 3: Download

Press Download PNG for everyday use, or Download SVG for large-format printing. The default 1024×1024 pixels is sharp enough for most print jobs.

Tips before you use it

  • Always test-scan with your own phone first.
  • Don't print the code smaller than 2×2 cm.
  • Keep dark modules on a light background (see choosing QR colors).

That's it — your QR code is ready, and static codes like this never expire.
